For over 60 years the world's best golfers have gathered at
Augusta to lay claim to the most coveted prize in all of golf; the famous
Green Jacket. By doing so, one-by-one, the sport's greatest legends stamp
their names into the annuls of golf history to be forever immortalized as
Masters Champions.
Though Tiger Woods seems to have the pro
golfing world by the throat, he has been dealing with stiff competition at
Augusta. Phil Mickelson finally wrestled the Green Jacket away from Tiger in
2004, and then collected his second in 2006. In 2007 champion Zach Johnson made
history at The Masters. In 2008, Trevor Immelman took his own Green Jacket
home and last year Argentina's favorite
Angel Cabrera was victorious over Tiger woods in the final holes to acquirer
his first green jacket in his PGA career.

The favorite for the prestigious tournament is of course Tiger
Woods. Woods already owns four green jackets and will likely be
favored in this tournament for the rest of his golfing career.
Woods last won at Augusta in 2005 and after finishing tied for
third last year he is a 5/4 favorite at
Gamblerspalace.com to
reclaim the coveted green jacket this year.

2009 US Master Results
In
continuing with the trend of surprise winners at
the US Masters golf tournament, Angel Cabrera
became the latest US Masters winner in 2009.
Kenny Perry seemed to have it in his grasp but
he contrived to bogie both 17 and 18 under
intense pressure to fall back into the play-off.
The Play-Off was a tense affair that first saw
Campbell get eliminated and then Perry to give
Angel Cabrera the famous Green Jacket in a
thrilling finish. Cabrera was solid all week and
he became the first Argentine ever to win the US
Masters in what is likely to be the highlight of
his career.
